Managed IT

Your business needs IT.
You shouldn’t have to manage it alone.

An accessible team, clear communication, and coordinated support—whether we become your IT department or work alongside the one you already have.

Why outsource IT?

More coverage.
Less on your shoulders.

A capable internal IT employee can be valuable. But every person has limited time, availability, and specialties. An outsourced team gives your business another way to get the people, tools, and support it needs.

A team to turn to

Multiple technicians provide additional capacity when someone is away or occupied with another project.

Shared knowledge & resources

Different skills and coordinated resources help your business handle a broader range of needs.

A defined service budget

Understand recurring services, separately quoted projects, and coverage before you commit.

Less vendor coordination

Cayenne can help investigate issues and coordinate the next steps across the vendors involved.

Why Cayenne?

IT support that feels
personal and accountable.

You get more than technical answers. You get a team that learns your business, communicates clearly, and owns the next step.

People who know your business

A small, accessible team learns your people, systems, and priorities instead of treating every request like the first one.

Clear ownership

We identify who is handling the next step and help coordinate other vendors when their involvement is needed.

Updates without chasing

We explain what is happening in plain language, keep you informed, and follow up after the work.

Choose the right support model

Three ways to build
the support you need.

The best fit depends on how much daily internal presence, team coverage, and outside expertise your business needs.

Your own IT staff

A person or team employed by your business

  • Close familiarity with your people and daily operations
  • Direct onsite presence and internal ownership
  • A single hire has finite time and a particular set of skills, tools, and experience
  • Absences, simultaneous issues, and specialist projects need a coverage plan

A strong option when you need internal ownership—and have a plan for capacity and backup.

Co-managed IT

Keep your team. Add capacity around them.

  • Your internal person or team keeps the responsibilities you want them to own
  • Cayenne adds help with overflow, absences, projects, or specialist needs
  • Shared tools, documentation, and coordination help reduce bottlenecks
  • Remote and onsite contributions are agreed around your existing team

Best when you value your internal team and want extra support to help them succeed.

Talk through the options ↗

A support team does not eliminate outages. Results depend on the environment, selected scope, and third-party services. The goal is to reduce avoidable disruption and coordinate a clear response when issues arise.

What your plan can cover

Clear scope.
Thoughtful options.

Your proposal defines covered users and systems, hours, responsibilities, limits, and exclusions. Scheduled or dedicated onsite staffing can be arranged around your business needs, from occasional visits to daily coverage. Focused à la carte support remains available when that fits your needs.

Switching starts with a plan.

01

Understand the environment

Review your systems, current support, priorities, and any urgent gaps.

02

Agree responsibilities

Define scope, costs, access requirements, and coordination with your current provider.

03

Coordinate the transition

Plan onboarding, document the environment, and explain how your team gets support.

Questions, answered

Managed IT & choosing your partner

What should I ask before choosing an IT provider?

Ask what is included and excluded, how support is reached, how security and backups are managed, who owns your accounts, and how onboarding and offboarding work. Request a written scope and compare coverage—not just the monthly price.

Can you work alongside our internal IT person?

Yes. With co-managed IT, your own person or team keeps the responsibilities you want them to own, while Cayenne adds capacity for overflow, absences, projects, tools, or specialist needs. We agree who handles support, security, projects, and vendor coordination, including any onsite staffing, so responsibilities are clear.

How do you keep pricing fair while tailoring coverage?

We build coverage around your needs, with packages and à-la-carte options. Your proposal explains recurring fees, inclusions, exclusions, and additional work. A lower base price should not hide important gaps; compare the total scope and cost.

How should I compare a lower-priced IT or hardware quote?

Start by checking whether you are being offered the same thing. One IT quote may cover maintenance only, while another includes user support, security, backups, and vendor coordination. Hardware can differ in model, specifications, age, condition, warranty, setup, and ongoing support. A lower price can be good value—but the price alone does not tell you that. We help you compare what is included, what costs extra, and what best fits your business. See our pricing and value guide.

Will someone answer when I need help?

Getting you to a person quickly is a priority. During regular support hours, we aim to answer calls in under a minute. Busy periods can take longer; we focus on clear communication and follow-through once you reach us. Call 718-704-0505 Monday–Thursday, 9am–5pm, and Friday, 9am–2pm, Eastern. After-hours emergency coverage depends on your service agreement.

What if my usual technician is unavailable?

You have a relationship with a team, not just one person. Shared documentation and coordination help another technician understand your environment and continue the work. Availability and escalation arrangements depend on your support scope.

Will you explain things in plain English?

Yes. We explain the issue, practical options, costs, and next steps clearly. You should understand what is happening without needing a technical background.

Who owns our accounts, documentation, and data?

Ownership, administrative access, documentation, and transition assistance should be clear before you sign. We define these responsibilities in the agreement; third-party subscriptions and Cayenne-owned tools may have separate licensing or access terms.

How do you handle onboarding, backups, and software vendors?

We review your environment, identify priorities, and agree on a transition plan. Backup coverage, retention, restore testing, recovery planning, and vendor coordination are scoped explicitly. We help coordinate issues within that scope but cannot guarantee a third-party vendor’s resolution.
